Products that ship.
Brands that compound.

ThinkMPI takes consumer products from idea to retail shelf — design, development, manufacturing support, and marketing strategy. End-to-end. One studio. One project lead. Twelve years of taking ideas through the parts of the lifecycle most agencies skip.

The lifecycle

Four stages, one team.

Most consumer-product agencies own one or two stages and hand off the rest. We own all four. Same project lead, same studio, idea to shelf.

01

Product Design

From a one-line brief to a tested, tooled prototype. We compress the discovery → concept → model → spec loop into 8–12 weeks. Industrial design, mechanical engineering, electronics design, and UX run in parallel under one project lead.

Specifics: ID sketches & CAD · DFM-ready 3D · functional prototyping · electronics schematics + PCB · firmware architecture · UX flows · spec sheets ready for procurement.

02

Product Development

Where most studios hand off to a manufacturer and disappear, we stay through engineering validation. Iteration to a tested, certifiable, repeatable production-ready unit — not a beautiful PowerPoint.

Specifics: prototype-to-pilot iteration · BIS/CDSCO/WPC certification path · hardware-software integration · firmware delivery · pilot batch supervision · QC SOPs locked before scale.

03

Manufacturing Support

We carry the project through to the first scale run. Vendor selection (Tier 1 Indian CMs preferred), BOM optimisation, supply-chain mapping, line-side QC. Founders stop carrying procurement risk; we own the handoff.

Specifics: vendor RFQ + evaluation · BOM cost engineering · supply-chain de-risking · QC systems · production-line audits · first-PO supervision · post-delivery defect analysis.

04

Marketing Strategy

A great product without a route to its first 1,000 buyers is a hobby. We build the launch motion before manufacturing locks: positioning, channel strategy, the first six months of demand. Strategy and tactical execution.

Specifics: positioning + price band · D2C tech stack (Shopify, payments, fulfilment) · paid media architecture · content calendar · influencer + community programmes · retail + marketplace placement.

Who we build for

Four kinds of partner.

Consumer durables

Premium home appliances, lifestyle hardware. We ship to brands whose customer is not the cheapest.

Electronics & IoT

Connected devices that need both the silicon and the marketing to land. Cellular, BLE, sensor-rich systems.

D2C consumer goods

Brands launching their first physical product or expanding from one SKU to a platform. End-to-end studio engagement.

OEM partnerships

Quiet engineering retainers behind brands you'd recognise. Product handed off cleanly; we ship, they brand.

The trade-off most studios force you to make

Design agency

Beautiful renders. Hands you off to a manufacturer who reverse-engineers half of it. Three months, three vendors, three interpretations.

Manufacturing partner

Will quote your BOM and ship your units. Won't tell you the design has a critical reliability issue, because that's not their scope.

ThinkMPI

One studio carries the project through every stage. The person who designed the product is the person who reviews the first production batch.

Recognition

Five marks that put us in the room.

Independent recognition from programmes that take selection seriously. We list dates where they're meaningful.

Have a product to take to shelf?

The first conversation is 30 minutes, on us, with the founder. Bring the constraint — budget, deadline, regulatory hurdle, or "we have an idea". We'll come back with whether we're the right studio.
